Case Study - Flex Mount

Challenge

I always envisioned the Hat Caddy being useful on the water - preventing hats from being blown overboard as I have witnessed countless times. However, I quickly realized that there are few if any ferrous materials on boats which are suitable candidates for hat mounting. I experienced the same problem when attempting to make use of the Hat Caddy while driving, finding that my vehicle's interior lacked any metal surfaces to which I could secure my hats. These experiences highlighted the need for a mount which could complement my magnetic products by allowing users to create a mounting point when metal surfaces aren't prevalent.
